LAS VEGAS, NV – Police have released details about a single-vehicle accident that critically injured a 50-year-old woman early last week.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department received reports of a collision on N Buffalo Drive north of W Lake Mead Boulevard at about 7:50 a.m. on Tuesday, April 13. They arrived to find a 2014 Volkswagen Passat that had crashed into a fire hydrant and then come to a rest in some nearby bushes. Emergency responders rushed the Volkswagen’s 50-year-old female driver to Sunrise Hospital in critical condition.
After interviewing witnesses, police determined that the woman had been driving north in the northbound lanes when she lost control of her vehicle and ran off the side of the roadway. Further investigations are ongoing.
