News: Man killed after hit-and-run driver runs red light in Winchester

WINCHESTER, NV – A man is dead following a hit-and-run crash at an intersection in Winchester on Friday afternoon, according to FOX 5 Vegas.

The accident occurred at about 3:15 p.m. at Vegas Valley Drive and Eastern Avenue, when the driver of a 2021 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck, 28-year-old Tony Pete, reportedly ran a red light.

The pickup then collided with a 2001 Nissan Maxima. Pete is said to have fled the scene on foot.

The driver of the Nissan was taken to the hospital for treatment. Later, the victim, who was not identified, succumbed to his injuries and died.

Authorities continue to investigate the accident.
