News: Pedestrian sustains life-threatening injuries after collision on the Strip

LAS VEGAS, NV – Carol Natsumi, 20, sustained life-threatening injuries after being struck by a vehicle while attempting to cross the street at South Las Vegas Blvd, according to News 3. It is uncertain at this time whether or not Natsumi was in the crosswalk when she was hit by the vehicle.

The accident happened around 1 p.m. Natsumi was taken to University Medical Center’s trauma unit for treatment of the injuries she sustained in the collision.

The vehicle that struck Natsumi was driven by Tameka Francis, 28, from Buena Park, CA. Francis had four passengers in the car with her, but none of them sustained any injuries. According to investigators, Francis did not appear to be impaired at the time of the accident.

This is an ongoing investigation and no further details are available at this time.
