News: Firey crash on Virginia St hospitalizes two Tuesday morning

RENO, NV – A firey crash on Virginia Street hospitalized two early Tuesday morning, reports KTNV.

The crash happened around 2:30 a.m. An SUV turning into a parking lot was struck by a southbound Mercedez. The Mercedez then hit a powerline, which caused the SUV to roll over and catch on fire.

The two individuals in the SUV were taken to the hospital. Four males wearing dark clothing exited the Mercedes and fled the scene.

Nearly 3,000 people lost power after the incident.

Police believe speed was a factor in the crash. They are asking anyone with information concerning the collision to contact them at (775) 334 – 2121.
