News Update: More information on pedestrian killed in hit-and-run released

LAS VEGAS, NV – It has been revealed that the 60-year-old killed in a hit-and-run Monday morning is from Oceanside, California, reports Las Vegas Review-Journal.

The incident happened around 1:01 a.m., at the intersection of E Flamingo Rd & Burnham Ave, according to a Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department press release. A Mercedes-Benz was going west on Flamingo Rd when they struck the pedestrian who was inside the crosswalk. The driver continued to drive west on Flamingo Rd following the collision.

The police were contacted by a motorist who approached the pedestrian who was unresponsive and lying in the road..Medical crews took the pedestrian to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center Trauma Unit, where he then died from his injuries.
