LAS VEGAS, NV – Two people were hospitalized after a dramatic collision that split a car in half this afternoon, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
The crash occurred at the intersection of Tonopah Drive and Lake Mead Boulevard at about 2 p.m., when the driver of a Honda sedan went over a curb. The vehicle then crashed into a light pole and was split in half upon impact.
A passenger was ejected from the vehicle during the crash. They and the driver were hospitalized for the treatment of non-life-threatening wounds.
Authorities shut down the eastbound lanes of Lake Mead Blvd as they worked the accident. Their investigation continues at this time.
