News Update: Victim of fatal Panther Valley crash identified

First Responders were dispatched to the SB Us-395 on-ramp around 6:30 a.m. following reports of an injury accident.

James Marsh, 44, was driving a Ford Explorer when a Volkswagen Beetle driven by Jennifer Dietsch tried to pass it, struck a concrete island, then struck a marker post, and then hit the Ford. The ford overturned, Marsh wasn’t wearing a seat belt and was ejected through the window.

Marsh was pronounced dead and Dietsch fled the scene. Dietsch was eventually arrested on multiple charges including DUI causing death, Duty to stop at scene of crash involving death, and Failure to render aid.
