News: 4 pets dead, multiple people hospitalized following E Las Vegas apartment fire

LAS VEGAS, NV – An apartment fire in the East Las Vegas Valley this afternoon led to the death of four pets and the hospitalization of multiple people, according to FOX 5 Vegas.

The incident happened at a complex on 2740 E Bonanza Road, near Eastern Avenue, at about 12:17 p.m., when a fire began in a bedroom in a four-unit apartment building.

Two people were hospitalized with severe smoke inhalation injuries. Another victim, who was bedridden, was found unconscious and rescued by emergency crews.

Authorities have stated that one person was in critical condition.

Four pets died in the blaze.

Multiple people were displaced due to the fire, which destroyed the unit and caused about $50,000 of damage.
