News: Fatal hit-and-run accident reported near I-15 and I-215
LAS VEGAS, NV – A motorcyclist died after he was thrown from his bike and struck by two vehicles on the transition ramp between I-15 and 215 Friday night, according to 8 News Now.
According to Nevada Highway Patrol, William Greg Whitnet, 71, was riding a Can-Am RD Ryker three-wheel motorcycle on northbound I-15. As he approached the ramp, he struck a construction barrel and was thrown from his vehicle.
Whitnet was then struck by a light-colored sedan and a dark blue sedan. Troopers believe the dark blue sedan may be a Hyundai with a damaged front end.
Authorities are urging anyone with information about the accident to contact them.
