News: Child crossing Centennial Ctr Blvd is fatally hit by car
LAS VEGAS, NV – A child crossing the street in northwest Las Vegas was fatally struck by a vehicle yesterday afternoon, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
The crash happened near the intersection of W Tropical Parkway and Centennial Center Boulevard at 12:22 p.m. when a boy reportedly crossed the street against a crossing signal. The child was then struck by the 48-year-old driver of a 2020 Ford Fusion.
The boy was taken to University Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
The driver, who is not expected of having been under the influence, remained at the scene.
