News: Alleged impaired driver runs light, fatally strikes car near Stewart Place
LAS VEGAS – According to KTNV, a fatal crash involving a suspected impaired driver was reported at Charleston Blvd and Lamb Blvd Monday morning.
According to police, a 2020 Toyota Corolla on westbound Charleston Blvd ran a red light and struck another Corolla that was driving on northbound Lamb Blvd.
Dispatchers sent medical personnel to the scene around 2 a.m. They transported the driver of the Corolla that the suspect struck to Sunrise Hospital, where they later died. Emergency crews also hospitalized the passenger from that Corolla at UMC in critical condition.
The 22-year-old driver who ran the red light sufferred severe injuries. He was then arrested by police, who suspected him of being impaired.
