News: Impaired juvenile driver fatally strikes motorcyclist at Patrick Ln and Tenaya Way
LAS VEGAS, NV – According to KLAS, an impaired driver fatally struck a motorcyclist at Patrick Ln and Tenaya Way on Sunday.
The juvenile suspect was driving a Honda Accord at excessive speeds on eastbound Patrick Ln when he traveled into the westbound lanes to pass a vehicle that was making a left turn onto Tenaya Way. The driver then hit the 59-year-old motorcyclist who was turning onto Patrick Ln.
Medical personnel was called to the scene just after 8:10 p.m. They transported the victim to UMC, where he died a short time later.
The Clark County Coroner’s office will release their name once their next of kin have been notified.
Officers suspect the driver was impaired at the time of the collision. He was arrested and booked into the Clark County Juvenile Detention Center.
