News: Driver killed in single-vehicle crash in SW Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS, NV – A man was killed Friday morning when he lost control of his vehicle and collided with a utility pole in southwest Las Vegas, KVVU reports.

The motorist was attempting to turn left onto Flamingo Road from Durango Drive at about 7:30 a.m. on April 16, when he suffered a medical emergency, lost control of his 2021 Ford Fiesta, and struck an NV Energy utility pole.

Emergency responders rushed the man to Southern Hills Hospital, where he died. He has since been identified as Armando Pulido, 56. The Clark County Coroner’s Office is conducting an autopsy to determine the precise cause of death.

The intersection of Flamingo Rd and Durango Dr was closed for some time as authorities investigated the collision.
