News Update: More information released on crash in east Las Vegas Valley

LAS VEGAS, NV – Six people were injured in a three-vehicle crash Sunday morning, reports Fox 5.

First responders were dispatched to McLeod Dr and Tropicana Ave around 7 a.m. after receiving reports of an accident.

A BMW struck a GMC Yukon in the left rear, which in turn caused the BMW to collide with the back of a Nissan Rogue.

The occupants of the BMW, a 44-year-old male driver named Oscar Rios, and 49-year-old male passenger, were hospitalized with moderate injuries. The Nissan was driven by a 45-year-old woman and she was hospitalized with critical injuries. Two adults and a 15-year-old-boy were in the Yukon at the time of the collision and they hospitalized themselves.

Authorities suspect Rios was impaired at the time of the accident and was charged with a DUI.
