News: Suspected DUI crash injures 5 people near Sunrise Manor
LAS VEGAS, NV – KTNV reports five people were hospitalized following a suspected DUI accident at Cheyenne Ave and Pecos Rd on Thursday.
According to police, a silver Nissan SUV made a left turn from Pecos Rd to westbound Cheyenne Ave when a speeding Chevy Silverado struck it on southbound Pecos Rd. The force of the impact caused the two vehicles to collide with a Ford Focus.
Emergency crews arrived at the crash site around 8 p.m. and took the two men inside the Chevy Silverado to an area hospital. Their current condition is unknown.
Three people occupied the Ford Focus when the wreck occurred. They were not injured and remained at the scene following the collision.
All three occupants of the Nissan, a woman driver and two children, were taken to University Medical Center. One of the children was initially listed in critical condition but is now in stable condition. The other child remains in critical condition. The woman involved sufferred minor injuries.
Police suspect the driver of the Silverado was impaired at the time of the incident.
