News: 5 people displaced during Central Valley house fire

LAS VEGAS, NV – Five people were displaced after a home caught fire in the Central Valley area yesterday afternoon, according to FOX 5 Vegas.

The blaze occurred at a one-story home at 709 W Adams Avenue, near I-15 and Washington Avenue, at about 1:30 p.m., when a fire sparked in the west side of the home.

High winds spread the blaze to the rest of the home and the garage.

Two children and three adults were displaced from their home as a result of the fire. They were evacuated to a nearby church and are being assisted by the American Red Cross.

Authorities continue to investigate the blaze, which caused about $100,000 worth of damage.

No injuries were immediately reported.
