News: Collision with dog injures driver, kills dog in Sunrise Manor

LAS VEGAS, NV – A collision between a moped and a small dog at Bryce Canyon Ave and Mt. Hood St Monday morning killed the dog and hospitalized the rider, reports KTNV.

Police received reports of a moped collision around 9:26 a.m. Investigators learned that Wayne Shiffer, 55, was heading east on Bryce St when a small dog ran out in front of the moped.

The dog was struck by the moped and then ran back to his home. His owners transported the animal to the vet where it died from its injuries.

Shiffer was taken to a nearby hospital following the collision.
