News: 2 motorcyclists injured after alleged DWI hit-and-run in Sunrise Manor
SUNRISE MANOR, NV – Two motorcyclists were severely injured in a hit-and-run crash allegedly caused by an intoxicated driver in the northeast valley early yesterday morning, according to FOX 5 Vegas.
The crash happened near the intersection of N Lamb Boulevard and E Cheyenne Avenue at around 1:50 a.m., when the driver of a Dodge Durango allegedly ran a red light and crashed into a motorcycle. The driver of the Dodge then fled the scene.
The 36-year-old operator of the motorcycle and a 40-year-old woman riding as his passenger sustained critical injuries in the accident and were taken to University Medical Center for treatment.
Authorities later apprehended the driver of the Dodge and took them into police custody on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.
The accident remains under investigation at this time.
